First woman to lead black aeronautics organization is now at the forefront

Vanessa Blacknall-Jamison is the first woman and first non-pilot to become Chair of the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP). After just three months of working as a flight attendant for Braniff International Airways, she realized it wasn't what she was meant to do with her life:

“I remember one day looking at those first-class seats [on the airplane] and vowing that I was going to be [one of the successful people] sitting there one day.”
