"When I learnt that the WASPS had no recognition for all they did, that was the turning point for me. The public I talk to are often unaware the WASP existed. I feel we owe it to them to get their story heard."
I was introduced to WW II reenactment in 2012. This was via a 1940s dance. I thought it would be fun to attend. During the dance I met many lovely people who suggested I came back the day after to see the event. Their were British, American, German and Russian reenactors there. All of which were local people. The one thing I would love is to speak with a WASP and find out more about what her typical day would involve."
